Cooking with Finlandia® Vodka to benefit Slow Food Berkeley
Another great event. Slow Food Berkeley and Finlandia Vodka brought famed Finnish/American Chef Sara La Fountain to the table for a culinary experience focused on sustainability and the principles of Slow Food. The Cooking with Finlandia Vodka events were held from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Monday, July 19 at Fairmont San Francisco, located at 950 Mason Street. 100 percent of ticket sales will be donated directly to the Slow Food Berkeley.
Guests experienced four dishes created by Chef La Fountain made with local ingredients as well as a dash of Finlandia Vodka Classic, or one of its flavors, in each recipe during the Cooking with Finlandia Vodka program. In addition, to complement the fare, Finlandia’s global brand champion, Pekka Pellinen, will pair a Finlandia Vodka cocktail with each dish.
“Chef La Fountain’s Finnish heritage shows itself in her distinctive cooking style, as well as in how she incorporates sustainability practices into every facet of her culinary repertoire,” said Paul Tuell, director for Finlandia Vodka in North America. “Her epicurean principles are a perfect match with for the Slow Food movement and Finlandia Vodka.”
