Feb 2015 Monthly Potluck Gathering: Seed Sharing
RSVP to: email@example.com to get further details and confirmation of attendance. We’re limited to 20 people, so please do RSVP!
Tis the season to think edible gardening and to start you off on the right foot, we’re planning an evening of seed sharing! We’ll gather with potluck dishes in hand, as usual, but if you have extra seeds from that 100 seed pack of scarlet turnips you’d like to trade for, say, a few of someone else’s 100 pack of Persian cucumbers, bring those along as well. We’ll also discuss seed saving, local seed libraries and other ‘seed-y’ stuff.
We’re luck this time to be hosted by the folks at Pollinate Farm & Garden, an amazing urban ag farm store in Oakland.
Our monthly gatherings are dedicated to connecting among one another, learning more about the Slow Food movement, and making plans for putting our knowledge and the principles of Slow Food into action.
Each month, we will have a particular idea, theme or event that will set the scene for the evening. Our hope is to bring in associated people to speak, organize activities for us to do and otherwise take time to discover more about the particular theme.
We generally meet the last Monday of every month in West Berkeley, at a personal home. Join us! It’s easy and casual; bring a snack to share and an inquiring mind. And feel free to come later than 6pm, we usually go until about 8 or 8:30pm
