Sign up: https://forms.gle/MuuX7gMwsDxszrQa8

Date: November 14, 2024
Time: 6:00 - 8:00pm
Location: West Berkeley backyard (address to be shared upon RSVP)

For our next potluck, we’re embracing the theme ‘"A taste of travel,” celebrating global and local flavors. Whether near or far, we’re excited to taste dishes that reflect ingredients and flavors from across the globe, along with the stories behind them. Whether you’re a globe-trotting traveler or a local adventurer drawing inspiration from the Bay Area’s diverse ecosystems, neighborhoods, and farmers' markets, we look forward to swapping flavors and travel tales.

We’re thrilled to announce that Justin Evans, a leadership team member from Slow Food East Bay, will join us to share his experience attending Terra Madre—Slow Food’s biennial gathering in Turin, Italy. Terra Madre brings together food producers, chefs, activists, and educators from over 160 countries to promote biodiversity, sustainability, and the preservation of traditional food cultures. With a public food fair featuring local and traditional products from around the world, Terra Madre is one of the largest celebrations of sustainable and traditional food.

Please invite friends who may have never heard of Slow Food before, we'd love to meet them!

Confirmations will be sent out three days before the gathering and more details about location and dish preparations will be included.

NOTE: We will be outdoors, so please plan for the normal evening Bay area temps.

Full potluck guidelines can be found here: https://docs.google.com/.../1WpTSvVW9Db9GSuioUmm0.../edit...

If you need to cancel, please do so at least 36 hours in advance of the gathering so we have time to find someone to take your place. This is a small event (20 people!) with limited seats, so every single one of you counts! (Of course, if you have an exposure to Covid or aren't feeling well, last minute cancellations are absolutely appropriate.)
